Ingredients
Scale
Potatoes and Seasoning
- 3 Russet or Yukon Gold potatoes (avoid waxy potatoes like red or fingerlings)
- 1 ½ tablespoons olive oil
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- ½ teaspoon chili powder
- ½ teaspoon dried parsley flakes
For Serving
- Grated Parmesan cheese
- Ketchup, aioli, or favorite dipping sauce
Instructions
- Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (204°C) for 5 minutes to ensure even cooking temperature.
- Prepare Potatoes: Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly, then dry them. On a cutting board, cut each potato lengthwise in half, then cut each half in half again, and once more to make a total of 8 wedges per potato.
- Coat Potatoes with Oil: Place the potato wedges in a large bowl, drizzle with 1 ½ tablespoons olive oil, and toss them well to coat every wedge evenly.
- Add Spices: Sprinkle kosher salt, garlic powder, ground black pepper, chili powder, and dried parsley flakes over the wedges. Mix thoroughly so all wedges are evenly seasoned.
- Arrange in Air Fryer: Place the seasoned potato wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket to allow hot air circulation for crispiness.
- Cook the Wedges: Reduce the air fryer temperature to 380°F (193°C) and cook the wedges for 20 minutes. Flip the wedges halfway through cooking to ensure even browning.
- Serve: Remove wedges from the air fryer while hot. Serve immediately sprinkled with grated Parmesan cheese and alongside ketchup, aioli, or your preferred dipping sauces.
Notes
- Use Russet or Yukon Gold potatoes for the best texture; avoid waxy potatoes like red or fingerlings to get crispy wedges.
- Flipping the wedges halfway helps them cook evenly and become crispy on all sides.
- Adjust seasoning amounts to taste or add other herbs like rosemary or paprika for variation.
- Serve immediately for best crispiness, as air-fried potatoes can soften as they cool.
- You can use an air fryer basket or tray depending on your appliance model.
