Description

Crispy and flavorful Air Fryer Sweet Potato Fries made with simple ingredients and perfectly seasoned. These healthy fries are easy to prepare and cook quickly in your air fryer, delivering a deliciously crisp exterior with a tender inside, ideal as a snack or side dish.

Ingredients

Scale

Sweet Potato Fries

  • 1 lb. sweet potatoes (peeled or peel on)
  • 1 Tbsp. oil (avocado or olive)
  • ½ – ¾ tsp. salt
  • ¼ tsp. paprika (optional)
  • ¼ tsp. garlic powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Air Fryer: Heat the air fryer to 375°F for at least 3 minutes to ensure it reaches the right temperature for cooking the fries evenly.
  2. Prepare the Potatoes: Cut the sweet potatoes into long strips approximately 4-6 inches in length, ½ inch wide, and ¼ inch thick. Place the fries in a large bowl, drizzle with oil, and toss to coat evenly. Sprinkle with salt, paprika, and garlic powder, then toss again until fully seasoned.
  3. Cook in the Air Fryer: Arrange the fries in a single layer inside the air fryer basket, making sure that none of the fries are touching for maximum crispiness. If using a 6-quart air fryer, cook in two batches to ensure proper spacing. Cook the fries for 12-14 minutes, turning them halfway through to promote even cooking.
  4. Serve: Once cooked to golden brown and crispy, serve the sweet potato fries immediately with your choice of ketchup, Sriracha mayo, or remoulade sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • For crispier fries, avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket; cook in batches if necessary.
  • You can adjust the seasoning to your preference, adding spices like cayenne pepper or cumin for a different flavor profile.
  • Sweet potato fries are best served hot out of the air fryer to maintain crispiness.
  • Peeling the sweet potatoes is optional based on personal preference; the skin adds extra fiber and nutrients.
