Description

This Antipasto Wreath Holiday Appetizer is a festive and visually stunning way to serve a variety of Italian-inspired bites. Featuring a colorful mix of charcuterie meats, fresh mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, artichoke hearts, olives, cheese tortellini, and fresh herbs on skewers arranged like a wreath, it’s perfect for holiday gatherings or any celebratory occasion. Easy to assemble and no cooking required, this appetizer offers a delicious balance of flavors and textures in a beautiful presentation.

Ingredients

Scale

Meats

  • 18 oz charcuterie meat sample pack

Vegetables & Olives

  • 1 pint cherry tomatoes
  • 14 oz artichoke hearts
  • 8 oz Kamala olives
  • 8 oz green olives

Dairy

  • 12 oz fresh mozzarella pearls

Others

  • 2 cups cheese tortellini (cooked and cooled)
  • 1 bunch fresh basil
  • 1 bunch fresh rosemary
  • 4 inch skewers

Instructions

  1. Assemble the Skewers: Using the 4-inch skewers, alternate the charcuterie meats, cherry tomatoes, fresh mozzarella pearls, artichoke hearts, Kamala olives, green olives, cheese tortellini, and fresh basil leaves. Mix and match the ingredients on each skewer to create a variety of colorful, flavorful combinations.
  2. Arrange the Wreath: To create the wreath shape, use a round salad plate as a base. Lay fresh rosemary sprigs in a circular pattern around the plate to resemble a wreath’s greenery. Place the assembled skewers on top of the rosemary, arranging them evenly in a circular wreath-like layout. This adds a festive touch and enhances the presentation.

Notes

  • This recipe requires no cooking if using pre-cooked tortellini; otherwise, cook tortellini according to package instructions and cool before assembling.
  • Feel free to substitute or add other antipasto ingredients such as roasted red peppers or different types of olives.
  • Keep the assembled wreath refrigerated until ready to serve to keep ingredients fresh.
  • Use fresh herbs like basil and rosemary for aromatic flavor and a decorative effect.
  • Skewers can be made ahead and refrigerated for convenience.
