Instructions
- Prepare the filling: In a medium bowl, combine the apple pie filling with sugar and cinnamon. Mix gently to evenly distribute the cinnamon and sugar throughout the apple filling.
- Assemble the wontons: Lay out the wonton wrappers on a clean surface. Place about 1 teaspoon of the apple filling in the center of each wrapper. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with a little water, then fold over to form a triangle or shape of your choice. Press edges firmly to seal and prevent filling leakage during cooking.
- Preheat and spray: Preheat a pan or skillet over medium heat. Lightly spray the pan with oil to prevent sticking and to help the wontons crisp evenly.
- Cook the wontons: Place the wontons in a single layer in the pan. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side or until both sides are golden brown and crispy. Adjust heat as necessary to avoid burning while ensuring thorough cooking.
- Serve: Remove the wontons from the pan and drain briefly on paper towels. Arrange on a serving plate, dust with powdered sugar, and drizzle caramel sauce over the top to add extra sweetness and presentation appeal.

- You can use an air fryer as an alternative cooking method by spraying the wontons with oil and air frying at 375°F (190°C) for about 5-7 minutes, flipping halfway through for even crispiness.
