Description

These Big Mac Sliders capture the iconic flavors of the classic Big Mac in a fun, miniature slider form. Juicy ground beef patties seasoned with Worcestershire sauce and spices are baked and layered with a creamy, tangy special sauce, crisp lettuce, onions, pickles, and melty American cheese on soft slider buns topped with sesame seeds. Perfect for parties or casual meals, these sliders are easy to make and full of familiar, comforting tastes.

Ingredients

Scale

Burger

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder

Special Sauce

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 5 sweet pickles (diced small)
  • 3 tablespoons French dressing
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Assembly

  • 1 cup lettuce (shredded)
  • 3 tablespoons onion (finely chopped)
  • 30 hamburger pickle slices
  • 6 slices American cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter (melted)
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 12 slider rolls

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Burger Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well and press the mixture evenly into a 9×13 inch baking pan, shaping it into a uniform layer.
  2. Bake the Burger Patties: Place the pan in a preheated 350°F oven. Bake for 12 to 14 minutes or until the beef is browned throughout and cooked through. Leave the oven on for later use.
  3. Make the Special Sauce: While the burger cooks, mix together mayonnaise, diced sweet pickles, French dressing, vinegar, yellow mustard, onion powder, garlic powder, and salt in a bowl. Set aside to let the flavors meld.
  4. Prepare the Slider Buns: Using a serrated knife, slice the slider rolls in half horizontally, carefully keeping the tops and bottoms intact as a set. Place the bottom halves of the rolls on a baking sheet.
  5. Assemble the Sliders: Spread a layer of the special sauce on each bottom bun, reserving about 1/4 cup of sauce for dipping. Add shredded lettuce, finely chopped onions, and pickle slices over the sauce. Carefully cut the cooked burger meat into 12 equal squares to fit on each slider, and place them atop the veggies. Lay slices of American cheese evenly across the cooked beef. Top each slider with the corresponding roll top.
  6. Prepare the Buns for Baking: Brush the melted butter over the top buns and sprinkle sesame seeds evenly over the tops.
  7. Melt the Cheese: Return the assembled sliders to the oven and bake for an additional 8 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and the buns are slightly toasted.
  8. Serve: Remove from the oven and serve immediately with extra special sauce on the side and fries or your favorite sides.

Notes

  • Pressing the ground beef mixture evenly ensures uniform cooking and easy slicing into sliders.
  • Keeping the slider rolls intact when slicing helps maintain the classic layered look of a Big Mac.
  • Reserve some special sauce to serve as a dipping sauce for extra flavor.
  • If you want the cheese more browned, broil the sliders for 1-2 minutes at the end but watch carefully to avoid burning.
  • For a lower fat version, use lean ground beef and reduce the amount of mayonnaise in the sauce.
