Description

Delight in these festive Chocolate Covered Pretzels, perfect for holiday treats or anytime you crave a sweet and salty combination. This easy no-bake recipe lets you dip pretzels into smooth, melted chocolate and decorate with sprinkles or drizzled chocolate for a fun and elegant snack.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 50 mini pretzel twists (or 24 pretzel rods)
  • 7 ounces chocolate (candy melts or bars – milk, white, dark or any combination)
  • Christmas sprinkles (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother melting)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace: Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper to prevent the dipped pretzels from sticking once coated with chocolate.
  2. Melt the chocolate: Use either the microwave method, heating the chocolate and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth; or use the double boiler method by placing the chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water and stirring until melted and smooth.
  3. Dip the pretzels: Using tongs or a fork, dip each pretzel halfway or fully into the melted chocolate, allowing any excess chocolate to drip off to avoid thick clumps.
  4. Add decorations: While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle Christmas sprinkles on top or drizzle with a contrasting melted chocolate using a piping bag for an elegant touch.
  5. Set the chocolate: Place the dipped pretzels on the lined baking sheet and refrigerate for 15–20 minutes, or until the chocolate has fully set and hardened.

Notes

  • Use coconut oil sparingly to make the chocolate smoother and easier to dip.
  • Make sure the pretzels are completely dry before dipping to avoid chocolate seizing.
  • Store the chocolate covered pretzels in an airtight container at room temperature or in the fridge for longer freshness.
  • Experiment with different chocolate types (milk, dark, white) or add festive toppings for variety.
