Dough and Filling
- 1 tube crescent roll dough
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Glaze
- 2 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1–2 tablespoons milk (for desired consistency)
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare Tin: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a mini muffin tin to prevent sticking.
- Prepare Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and press the seams together carefully to create a single large rectangle.
- Add Butter and Cinnamon Sugar: Brush the dough evenly with melted butter, then sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture over the top.
- Roll and Slice: Roll the dough tightly starting from the short side to form a log, then cut into 1-inch pieces to create individual rolls.
- Arrange in Muffin Tin: Place each piece into a muffin cup with the spiral side facing up, ensuring they fit snugly but can expand.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes until the bites turn golden brown and puffed.
- Make the Glaze: While the bites bake, whisk together the softened cream cheese, softened butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth and creamy.
- Glaze and Serve: Drizzle the glaze over the warm cinnamon roll bites and serve immediately for the best gooey texture.
Notes
- Make sure to press the crescent roll seams tightly to prevent the filling from leaking during baking.
- Adjust the milk quantity in the glaze to get your preferred drizzling consistency.
- Serve warm for optimal gooey texture; these bites can be reheated briefly before serving.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat in the oven or microwave.
