Chicken Rolls:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 slices of Swiss cheese
- 4 slices of deli ham
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1½ cups breadcrumbs (preferably panko)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- toothpicks (for securing rolls)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Pound Chicken: Pound chicken breasts to ¼-inch thickness, season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
- Fill and Roll: Place ham and cheese on each breast, roll tightly, secure with toothpicks.
- Dredge: Dredge each roll in flour, egg wash, then breadcrumbs.
- Brown Chicken: Brown rolls in butter and oil.
- Bake: Transfer skillet to oven, bake for 20–25 minutes.
- Rest and Serve: Rest for 5 minutes, remove toothpicks before serving.
