  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar, divided
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Ice Cream Base:

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Fresh Strawberry Mix: Combine strawberries, ¼ cup sugar, and lemon juice. Allow to sit for 20 minutes, then mash slightly.
  2. Ice Cream Base: Whisk together remaining sugar, heavy cream, milk, vanilla, and salt until sugar dissolves. Stir in strawberries. Refrigerate for 2 hours. Churn in ice cream maker for 20–25 minutes. Add extra strawberries in the last 5 minutes if desired. Freeze for 4 hours before serving.
