Description

  • 2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts, pounded thin and sliced in half lengthwise

  • 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pound the chicken: Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness between plastic wrap. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Fill the chicken: Spread marinara on each piece, sprinkle with cheeses, and roll up.
  4. Dredge the rolls: Dip each roll in flour, egg, and breadcrumbs.
  5. Sear and bake: Sear the rolls, then bake in the oven for 20–25 minutes.
  6. Serve: Remove toothpicks, top with marinara, and garnish with herbs.
