Cinnamon Roll Monkey Bread:
- 2 cans (12.4 oz each) refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- Nonstick cooking spray
Instructions
- Prepare the Crockpot: Spray the inside of a 6-quart crockpot with nonstick cooking spray.
- Prep the Cinnamon Rolls: Cut each cinnamon roll into quarters. In a zip-top bag, combine granulated sugar and cinnamon. Add the cinnamon roll pieces, seal the bag, and shake until coated.
- Mix Butter and Brown Sugar: In a small bowl, mix melted butter and brown sugar.
- Layer in the Crockpot: Place half of the coated cinnamon roll pieces in the crockpot. Drizzle half of the butter mixture over them. Repeat with the remaining pieces and butter mixture.
- Cook: Cover and cook on low for 2 to 2.5 hours until the dough is cooked and golden.
- Serve: Let it cool slightly, then drizzle with reserved icing before serving.
Notes
- For extra richness, add chopped pecans or walnuts between layers.
- Enhance the flavor by adding a splash of vanilla extract to the butter mixture.
