- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt

- 1 cup walnuts, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Prepare Dates: Place chopped dates in a bowl, pour boiling water over them, and stir in baking soda. Let sit for 10 minutes to soften.
- Prepare Batter: Cream butter and brown sugar, beat in eggs and vanilla. Whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients. Fold in date mixture and walnuts.
- Bake: Pour batter into pan, bake for 50–60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool before serving.
