Ingredients
Scale
Cookie Dough
- 1/2 cup Butter
- 1/2 cup Brown sugar
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 1/2 tsp Baking soda
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 3/4 cups All-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 1/2 cups Chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup Chocolate syrup
Filling
- 1 Hershey chocolate bar (broken into squares)
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cream together the butter, sugar, and brown sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy. Beat in the egg, followed by the baking soda and vanilla extract. Gradually mix in the flour and salt until the dough is evenly combined.
- Add Chocolate Flavors: Stir the chocolate chips into the dough, adjusting the amount to your preference for chocolaty goodness. Then incorporate the chocolate syrup into the mixture, ensuring it is well blended to give a rich chocolate flavor throughout.
- Assemble and Bake: Scoop the cookie dough into a deep dish cookie pan, placing one square of Hershey’s chocolate in the center of each cookie. Cover each chocolate square with more cookie dough, filling all slots of the pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the tops turn golden brown. Allow the cookies to cool completely before serving to let the filling set and flavors meld.
Notes
- Feel free to adjust the amount of chocolate chips to make the cookies more or less chocolaty.
- Ensure the cookies are completely cool before removing from the pan to keep the shape intact.
- You can substitute the Hershey chocolate squares with your favorite chocolate for variations.
- Use room temperature butter for creamier dough consistency.
