Cupcake Batter:
- 1 box chocolate cake mix (plus ingredients listed on the box such as eggs, oil, and water)
Frosting and Decorations:
- 1 container chocolate frosting
- 24 mini pretzels
- 24 candy eyes
- 12 red candy-coated chocolates (like M&M’s)

- optional: 12 brown M&M’s for additional reindeer noses
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (or as directed on the cake mix box).
- Prepare the cupcake batter: Line a 12-cup muffin pan with cupcake liners. Prepare the chocolate cake batter according to the package instructions. Fill each liner two-thirds full and bake according to the box directions, usually about 18–22 minutes.
- Cool and frost: Allow cupcakes to cool completely. Once cooled, spread a generous layer of chocolate frosting on each cupcake.
- Add decorations: Gently press two mini pretzels into the top of each cupcake to form antlers. Place two candy eyes below the pretzels. Add one red M&M in the center for a Rudolph nose, or use brown M&M’s for other reindeer.
- Serve: Serve immediately or store in an airtight container.
