Description

For the Lollipops:

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 packet Kool-Aid drink mix (any flavor)
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • cooking spray or oil for greasing molds
  • optional lollipop sticks or silicone molds


Instructions

  1. Prepare the Molds: Lightly grease silicone lollipop molds or prepare a parchment-lined baking sheet with lollipop sticks spaced apart.
  2. Cook the Sugar Mixture: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar, corn syrup, and water. Stir until the sugar dissolves, then stop stirring and allow the mixture to boil until it reaches 300°F (hard crack stage) on a candy thermometer.
  3. Add Flavor and Fizz: Remove from heat immediately and stir in the Kool-Aid packet and baking soda. The mixture will fizz and bubble briefly.
  4. Fill the Molds: Quickly pour the mixture into molds or over the lollipop sticks. Let the lollipops cool and harden completely at room temperature, about 20 to 30 minutes.
  5. Enjoy: Once set, remove from molds and store in an airtight container.

Notes
