Ingredients
Scale
Beef Mixture
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Cheese
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Garlic Butter
- ¼ cup butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
Other
- 4 large flour tortillas
- Optional: sliced pickles for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or lightly greasing to prevent sticking.
- Cook the Beef: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spatula, until browned and cooked through, about 7–8 minutes.
- Season the Beef: Stir in Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to evenly distribute the seasonings. Remove the skillet from heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly.
- Prepare the Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter with minced garlic. Stir well to infuse the butter with garlic flavor and set aside.
- Assemble the Rollups: Lay the flour tortillas flat on a clean surface. Evenly distribute the beef mixture across each tortilla, then sprinkle shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses on top.
- Roll and Bake: Roll each tortilla tightly, folding in the sides as you go to secure the filling inside. Place them seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Generously brush the tops with the garlic butter mixture. Bake in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, or until the roll-ups are golden brown and the cheese inside is melted and bubbly.
- Serve: Remove from oven and let cool slightly. Slice into pinwheels if desired, garnish with sliced pickles, and serve warm for a delicious cheesy beef snack or meal.
Notes
- Make sure to pack the beef mixture evenly to avoid bursting during baking.
- You can substitute flour tortillas with whole wheat or gluten-free versions if preferred.
- For extra spicy flavor, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or hot sauce to the beef mixture.
- Leftover rollups can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven for best texture.
- Use freshly minced garlic for the best flavor in the garlic butter.
