Ingredients
Scale
For the Beef Filling
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese
For the Dough & Topping
- 1 can (8 pieces) refrigerated biscuit dough
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and make cleaning easier.
- Cook Ground Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until thoroughly browned, about 7-8 minutes, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
- Season Beef: Add salt, black pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder to the cooked beef. Stir well to combine the flavors, then remove from heat and allow it to cool slightly.
- Combine with Cheese: Transfer the beef mixture to a large bowl and mix in shredded mozzarella and parmesan cheese until evenly incorporated.
- Prepare Dough: Separate the biscuit dough into eight individual pieces. Flatten each piece gently with your hands to create a small disk ready for filling.
- Fill Dough: Spoon a generous amount of the cheesy beef mixture into the center of each flattened dough piece.
- Form Bombs: Carefully fold the dough around the filling, pinching the edges tightly to seal and form a smooth ball, ensuring no filling escapes during baking.
- Arrange on Baking Sheet: Place the sealed dough balls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet, spaced slightly apart.
- Make Garlic Butter: Melt unsalted butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
- Brush Garlic Butter: Using a brush, evenly coat each dough ball with the warm garlic butter. Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the tops for added flavor and color.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until the biscuit dough is golden brown and cooked through.
- Cool and Serve: Remove from the oven and let the biscuits cool slightly before serving warm to enjoy the melty cheesy center.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add some finely diced onions or green chilies to the beef mixture.
- Ensure the edges of the biscuit dough are sealed tightly to prevent leakage during baking.
- Use refrigerated biscuit dough for convenience, or substitute with homemade biscuit dough if preferred.
- Serve warm with ketchup, mustard, or your favorite dipping sauce.
- These bombs can be refrigerated before baking for up to 24 hours, just increase baking time slightly if baking cold.
