Ingredients
Scale
Beef and Marinade
- 8 oz flank steak
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
Noodles and Vegetables
- 8 oz noodles (such as udon or rice noodles)
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 4 green onions, sliced
Other
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions
- Slice the steak: Thinly slice the flank steak against the grain and place it in a bowl to prepare for marination.
- Marinate the beef: Add hoisin sauce, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger to the bowl with the sliced steak. Mix well to coat the meat and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes to enhance flavor and tenderness.
- Cook noodles: Prepare the noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside to be added later.
- Cook the steak: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated steak and cook until browned, about 2-3 minutes per side, ensuring a nice sear without overcooking.
- Add vegetables: Add the sliced red bell pepper and julienned carrot to the skillet with the steak. Stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until the vegetables soften slightly but remain crisp.
- Toss noodles: Add the cooked noodles along with sliced green onions to the skillet. Toss everything together and cook for another 1-2 minutes to heat through and combine flavors.
- Season: Season the stir-fry with salt and pepper according to your taste to balance the flavors.
- Serve: Serve the hoisin beef noodles hot, garnished with sesame seeds for a nutty crunch and extra visual appeal. Enjoy your delicious meal!
