Description

Indulge in a decadent and creamy Shrimp Alfredo that’s quick and easy to make. Succulent shrimp, tender pasta, and a rich Parmesan sauce come together beautifully in this classic Italian-American dish.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Shrimp:

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

For the Alfredo Sauce:

  • 12 ounces fettuccine pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Boil salted water, cook fettuccine until al dente, drain.
  2. Prepare the Shrimp: Sauté garlic in butter, add shrimp and cook until pink, set aside.
  3. Make the Alfredo Sauce: In the same pan, simmer cream, add Parmesan, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  4. Combine: Add pasta and shrimp to the sauce, cook briefly.
  5. Serve: Garnish with parsley and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra flavor, sauté the shrimp in olive oil before adding to the sauce.
  • Substitute half-and-half for a lighter version.
  • Add steamed broccoli or spinach for extra veggies.
