Description

A refreshing and fruity homemade soda recipe, this Strawberry Sprite is perfect for a summer day. Made with fresh strawberries, lime juice, and cold Sprite, this drink is bursting with flavor and is easy to prepare.

Ingredients

Scale

    For the Strawberry Base:

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lime juice
  • Additional Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cold Sprite (or lemon-lime soda)
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Strawberry Base: In a small bowl, mash the sliced strawberries with the sugar and lime juice until well combined and juicy.
  2. Let the Flavors Blend: Allow the mixture to sit for 5–10 minutes to blend the flavors.
  3. Assemble the Drink: Fill a glass with ice cubes and spoon the strawberry mixture over the ice. Pour cold Sprite over the strawberry base and gently stir to combine.
  4. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a smoother texture, strain the strawberry mixture to remove seeds.
  • To make a mocktail, add a splash of club soda for extra fizz.
  • For a slushie-style drink, blend all ingredients together.
